1JZ/2JZ Alternator Lower Mount Support

Our support bracket has been designed to assist or replace the lower alternator mount on 1JZ and 2JZ engines, for both turbo and non-turbo blocks.

The lower mounts are notorious for cracking and failing, especially in high performance applications. Our support bracket can be used in conjunction with the factory mount as a support bracket, or to replace the lower mount if it has completely failed and broken off.

Can be used with front, mid and rear sump applications

Two options for fitment:

-Supporting the factory lower mount to prevent failure

-Replacing the broken/failed lower mount

Includes:

1x Alternator support bracket

1x Spacer boss

1x Front support bracket

3x M10 Bolts, High Tensile 10.9

1x M10 nut, high Tensile 10.9

1x M10 threaded rod, High Tensile 10.9

Installations tips:

  • When installing, leave the 3x M10 bolts into the block slightly loose to allow movement to align the threaded rod.

  • Install threaded rod through the factory mount and into the support bracket. Or if the factory mount has broken off, use the spacer that comes with the kit in place of the factory mount.

  • Tighten bolts into block, unbolt the M8 bolt on the sump to allow fitment of the front support bracket.

  • Fit alternator, fit front support bracket and reinstall the M8 bolt along with the M10 nut.

  • Check all fasteners are tight!
